zJOS-XDI - THE INTEGRATED z/OS AUTOMATION

NSI_kayon

Nusantara Software Industry (NSI) is aimed to be a pioneer in system-level software industry center in Indonesia. Not just a daylight dream, NSI has shown its capability in engineering and developing 3 pride products which are bundled into a single package, zJOS-XDI©, an integrated automation software package for z/OS platform. zJOS-XDI is totally designed, developed and engineered by Nusantaran(s) in Nusantara. As a technology breed, zJOS-XDI has shown and proven its whole functions qualities and reliabilities in users' production system in Indonesia.

systems events manager

to manage a list of users' defined automation rules, where each is a set of automatic action(s) to be fired against occurrences a certain case of a certain type of system-event. As an events manager, Sekar works without operation cycle. This means, Sekar keeps watching each users' defined rule all the time and immediately fires any rule whenever expected event is occurred...

events-driven workloads scheduler

to manage lists of users' defined automatic workload execution schedule(s), where each is based on occurrences of combination of a number of cases of types of system-events. As a workloads manager, Puspa works based on operation cycle. Only ongoing schedules are watched during its cycled. Well done and error schedules are ignored up to the cycle is completed or requested by admin to be rescheduled. Any workload in an ongoing schedule will be immediately scheduled for execution whenever all expected triggers are complied...

Why Mainframe?

As technologists, we are not mainframe fanatic actually. We always face products platforms as objects of technologies, so they are equals in our point of view. Nevertheless, we must be realistic that our main asset is our skills in mainframe technologies, especially in system-level or kernel-level programming which is an expensive asset not easy to have it. Besides, based on our and many other survey results, mainframe still dominates in mission-critical computing applications such as banking and other finance services systems as well as public services and governmental information systems which currently well known as electronic-government or e-government or e-Gov.

Why “System-Level” Software?

Deru_SE1

System-level software is software which works tightly with internal layers of operating system (OS) and/or hardware, for example, event-driven automation and scheduler tools, security tools, systems monitor tools, database engines, data networking carrier tools etc.   Besides its type and style of application, it needs deeper systems programming skills to develop, whereas less people have it.  It more sensitive to the system as it needs to run in privileged mode when accessing internal system resources.  If it get problem, it can potentially impact to the whole system.  So why is interested?
